Vision and Mission
Vision
We envision Latino and immigrant workers and families having equal opportunities to thrive in Ohio.
Mission
HOLA's mission focuses on four priority areas:
History of HOLA Ohio
In the mid-90s, HOLA began as a women's group dedicated to supporting newly arrived immigrants. At that time, HOLA was an acronym for Hispanas Organizadas de Lake y Ashtabula (Hispanic Women's League of Lake and Ashtabula Counties). Its mission focused on advocating for the rights of Latinos and immigrants, offering support services, fostering cultural awareness, and promoting community empowerment. Key initiatives included legal assistance, educational workshops, advocacy campaigns, and programs to encourage civic engagement and leadership development within Latino and immigrant communities.
Today, HOLA Ohio continues to play a crucial role in addressing the challenges faced by these communities across the state. Through its work, the organization has become a driving force in building a more inclusive and equitable Ohio for all.
